New York Yankees Gerrit Cole to allow two runs in four innings in injury return

New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole, who was out of the lineup with an elbow injury, pitched a steady pitch in his return from the injury.

Cole started the 2024 U.S. Major League Baseball home game against Baltimore at Yankee Stadium in New York on the 20th, throwing 62 pitches in four innings, recording three hits, one walk, five strikeouts and two runs.

Cole was shaken by a right-handed double to Henderson, the leadoff hitter in the first inning, and a right-handed double to Ryan O'Hearn, but he kept the Baltimore lineup scoreless from the second to the fourth.

Cole was replaced in the top of the fifth after allowing a left-handed hit to leadoff hitter Mullins, who was tied 1-1 and changed pitcher Ron Marinaccio brought home the succession runner, increasing Cole's earned run to two.

Cole is the league's best pitcher who won the American League Cy Young Award unanimously last season.

However, he left the starting rotation in March complaining of elbow pain during the exhibition game, and last month, he went through a full-fledged rehabilitation process to raise his physical condition again.

Today, the Yankees lost to Baltimore 7-6 after a close game in the 10th inning of overtime. 프라그마틱 슬롯 사이트
